Gleely
Privacy Policy
Gleely is an app for discovering live events — concerts, comedy, theatre, sports and more. This policy explains what Gleely collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. "Gleely", "we" and "us" mean Kevin Wang Ji, who runs the app.
What we collect
- Account info — your name, username and email address when you sign up; optionally your date of birth, gender and home city during onboarding.
- Event interactions — which events you save, favorite or skip, so we can personalize your recommendations.
- Preferences — event categories, genres, and time preferences you choose during onboarding.
- Device token — a push notification token so we can send you reminders about events you've saved. Only collected if you grant permission.
- Time zone — your phone's time zone, so reminders and alerts arrive at a sensible time where you are.
- Usage data — how you use the app: events you view, swipe, save or search for (including your search text), how you interact with event cards, taps on ticket links, and app performance and crash diagnostics. We use it to improve recommendations and the app. We do not sell this data.
How we use it
- To show you personalized event recommendations for the city you're browsing.
- To send you reminders and alerts about events you've saved — for example when tickets go on sale, or an event is cancelled or rescheduled.
- To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not share your event preferences with other users. Social features are not currently available.
- We do not use your data for advertising outside the app.
Data storage
Your data is stored with our cloud provider in the United States. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Push notifications
Push notifications are optional. You can turn them on or off at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Notifications) or in your iPhone's Settings. We only send notifications about events you've saved — never promotional blasts.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that run the app for us — hosting and data storage, sign-in, app delivery and notifications — and they may use it only to provide those services.
- Event information comes from Ticketmaster. Tapping "Purchase Tickets" takes you to their website, where their privacy policy applies.
- Ticket links may go through an affiliate network, and Gleely may earn a commission on your purchase at no extra cost to you. The link carries only a random click identifier — never your name, email or account details. We keep a record of which event you tapped; the network and the ticket seller may set cookies in your browser.
Your rights
- Download a copy of your data in the app (Profile → Settings → Privacy & data → Download my data), or ask us for it.
- Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account).
- Turn off push notifications at any time (Profile → Settings → Notifications).
- Contact us with any privacy concerns at privacy@gleely.app.
Who can use Gleely
Gleely is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll tell you about significant changes in the app before they take effect.
